Review:
Power is the ultimate thing that a person desires to achieve in the modern era. Despite of being the most powerful person in a certain area, even the highest authority wants to achieve more and more power. once a person creates a mindset of achieving certain authority he/she co-relates his/her every single aspect of life to that authority.
The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene gives a deep insight into the ways of achieving the power desired. It teaches the power of elusiveness, mastering the art of timing. the book illustrates 48 laws and each law is explained with a story of history that is real. It explained how certain personalities did something extraordinarily.
Each Law in the book has its own minutiae applicability, and reverse. It not only explains the application of these laws but also the limitations of the laws which should be followed. It divides the common traits of legends in the form of laws.
Critics:
It is a controversial book since its publication in 1998. Some readers find it an insightful guide and self-help book while others criticize it as promoting unethical behaviour, manipulative, and unsustainable in the long run.
The law focuses on individual gain over the common good. This kind of law ignores ethics and morality.
